Coach missed session: review policy

When a coach misses a session with a client, the following steps are taken:

  • If it is the 1st time the coach misses a session, they are given a one-time waiver and offered help to make sure their calendar and availability are set up properly
  • If it is the 2nd time the coach misses a session, a 1-star private review is posted automatically under the "IGotAnOffer platform" name. The fact that the review is private only means that no comment is left on the coach's profile. The review still counts towards the coach's average rating.
  • If it is the 3rd time or more that the coach misses a session, a 1-star public review is posted automatically under the "IGotAnOffer platform" name. This means the review counts towards the coach's average rating, and a comment is also visible on the coach's profile indicating that they missed a session.

We're available at all stages to help coaches make sure their calendar and availability are set up properly.

This policy aims to balance the following things:

  1. Giving coaches an opportunity to rectify one-off problems with their calendars before any automated action is taken
  2. Maintaining transparency for clients so they have an idea of how reliable coaches' are by looking at their average rating and review section
  3. Ensuring that coaches who reliably attend sessions are rewarded by having a higher average rating relative to those who don't
